Daily Doodle for 11-19-20

I call this one “A Very COVID Thanksgiving”. I guess I’ve made a political cartoon. This is an image in my head this holiday season. I truly hope people don’t gather outside of their immediate household, or their “quarantine pod” for Thanksgiving this year, because of the INCREDIBLY HIGH INCREASE IN COVID CASES EVERYWHERE. JustContinue reading “Daily Doodle for 11-19-20”

I call this one “Technicolor Flower”. Created in Adobe Fresco, this flower uses oil and water color brushes in various layers, as well as masking. There is also some layer blending going on. There is something truly soothing to me about creating textures. And flowers. Creating flowers is one of the most focused and freeingContinue reading “Daily Doodle for 11-10-20”

This was done in Adobe Fresco. Again I really enjoy the many brushes andContinue reading “Daily Doodle for 8/13/20”

Daily Doodle for 8/12/20

Today I made something similar to a mandala – a tile pattern! I did this in Adobe Illustrator instead of Adobe Fresco this time so that I could manipulate the shapes and their alignment better. I could also revisit this file and keeping all the shapes in place, I could change the colors and strokesContinue reading “Daily Doodle for 8/12/20”

Daily Doodle 7/8/20

Today’s doodle was inspired by today’s NY Times The Daily podcast. Host Michael Barbaro talked briefly to Bob Behnken, Doug Hurley and Chris Cassidy, NASA astronauts aboard the International Space Station. He asked them about what it feels like to look upon the Earth from space, especially at a tumultuous time like this one. IContinue reading “Daily Doodle 7/8/20”
